The average age increases by 1 year. Solution: Step1: Given: Average age of 25 boys is 10 years Step 2: To find: a) Total Age of all the boys b) Average age of boys + Teacher Step 3: Formula to be used: Ave= Sum of all qty/ no of qty.   Step 4: Working: a) First find the total age of all the boys ie. 25 x 10 = 250 years b) Since the teacher is added now the total become 25 + 1 = 26 c) The average age of 26 persons goes up by 1. Ie 10 + 1 = 11 years d) Ie. 26 x 11 = 286 years Ie. Total age of 26 = 286 years       Total age of 25 = 250 years Hence the age of Teacher would be 286- 250 = 36 Years Step 5: Answer Therefore the age of the teacher is 36 years.
