If the Average age of 25 boys is 10 years, find the average age of the complete class with its teacher. The average age increases by 1 year.


Solution:Step1: Given:Average age of 25 boys is 10 years


Step 2: To find:a) Total Age of all the boysb) Average age of boys + Teacher


Step 3: Formula to be used:Ave= Sum of all qty/ no of qty. Step 4: Working:a) First find the total age of all the boys ie. 25 x 10 = 250 yearsb) Since the teacher is addednow the total become 25 + 1 = 26c) The average age of 26 persons goes up by 1. Ie10 + 1 = 11 yearsd) Ie. 26 x 11 = 286 yearsIe. Total age of 26 = 286 years      Total age of 25 = 250 yearsHence the age ofTeacher would be 286- 250 = 36 Years


Step 5: AnswerTherefore the age of the teacher is 36 years.
