How to Motivate a child to work hard for gaining entry into

or any other school ?

First Take the child to that school for a visit
let the child see the facilities available in that particular school
Let the child interact with children studying in that school

once he is convinced then he will be ready to take up the required exam.

Most of the Sainik School / RMS will allow you to visit their premises.
Either you take a formal permission from the Principal/ head master/ Registrar
or
Any of the child's parents who is studying in that school can take you along.
