How to write a positive story? 

This picture can be viewed as a person moving in a storm affected area, a deserted location.
Now why should a lone individual be waking around in bad weather.? 
You should now bring in a situation where there is an urgency for this person ( hero) to go out in that weather.
Again why is he walking alone?
Bring out a situation that he is a person who has been given a certain responsibility.
the Responsibility may to save a village from being flooded ( he is an engineer and has to act quickly)
It could be a public holiday where every one except him in the office have moved out and  this adds up to  bigger responsibility. If he does not react quickly there would be a loss of life.           

When you narrate the story mingled with Responsibility and a little heroism the group will have no other option but to accept it.
Here you can involve others by asking questions and bring them to accept your view point.
