All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination – 2015
 Applications are invited on prescribed formats from eligible candidates for admission
to Classes VI and IX for academic session 2014-15: -
Aim
To prepare boys, academically, mentally and physically for entry
into the National Defence Academy (NDA) Khadakwasla and
other professions.
Curriculum 10+2 system (Science Stream only) of CBSE, New Delhi
Eligibility (Age limit)
For Class VI : Boys between 10-11 years as on 01 Jul 2015 (i.e.
boys born between 02 Jul 2004 to 01 Jul 2005)
For Class IX: Boys between 13-14 years as on 01 Jul 2015 (i.e.
boys born between 02 Jul 2001 to 01 Jul 2002)
Mode of selection Through All India Entrance Test, Personal Interview and
Medical Fitness Test
Tentative Number of seats Class VI – 100 , Class IX – 30
Date of Entrance Test 04 January 2015
Examination Centres Kapurthala, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Faridkot, and Patiala (Subject
to adequate number of candidates available for each Centre)
Fees (Yearly increase of 5-10%) Rs 80,237/- General /Defence

Scholarships awarded by
(a) Govt of Punjab to the domicile of Punjab based on
 parents income.
(b) Ministry of Defence to the children of Defence/Ex-
 Defence personnel.
(c) Subsidy by Ministry of Defence approximately
 Rs.15,000/- per annum for all cadets
Allocation of seats Punjab Domiciles – 67% and other states – 33%
Reservation of seats Sainik School Kapurthala caters mainly for boys of Punjab
and Chandigarh. 25% for Defence/Ex-Defence
personnel, 15% for SC and 7 ½ ST. Balance seats are
for General Category.
