Q.5. What would be the average of the Five Consecutive numbers starting from 11?
Q.6. If Simple Interest earned on a sum of Rs.972 at the rate of 14 % Simple interest per annum find the time for which the amount was invested?
Q.7.Find selling price when cost price = Rs. 50 , Loss/Gain = 10 %
Q.8. A number is 20% of 80. Or Find 20% of 80.
Q.9. Find the Area and Perimeter of a Square whose one side is 6 cm
Q.10.Find the Area and Perimeter of a Rectangle whose Length= 6 cm and breadth is 4 cm

Steps to answer:-
Step 1:
Greatest number that can be formed is-----------9,86,210
Least number that can be formed is---------------1,02,689
Step 2:
The SUM of these two is------------------------= 10,88,899 (ANSWER)

Answer.2:-
Step 1: What is asked?--To convert the given data into HOURS
Step 2: What is given?--4 days and 3 hours and 60 minutes
Step 3: Convert each of the above:-

  1. Method: 1 day has 24 hours hence 4 days = 4 x 24 = 96 hours (i)
  2. -------- 3 hours- since this in hours(no conversion)---= 03 hours (ii)
  3. -------- 60 minutes into hours (as 60 mins= 1hour)---= 01 hour (iii)
  4. Step 4: Add all ie. (i) +(ii)+(iii)-------------------------- = 100 Hours ( Answer)
Answer 3:-
  1. XLIX= 49
  2. XCIX= 99
  3. CMXCIX= 999
  4. MMMMMMMMMCMXCIX=9999
  5. Tips to remember:- How To Remember   1000 = M,   500 = d,   100 = C,  50 = L,
    10 = X,   5= V,   1= I   Think "MeDiCaL XaVIer".

Answer.4:-
Step 1: What is Given? Cost of 9 apples is Rs. 108
Step 2: What is to be found out? cost of 3 and 3/4 dozen apples
Step 3: What is required to be done?--Convert 3 and 3/4 dozen into numbers
------- Working 1 dozen = 12 units
Therefore 3 dozen = 3 x 12 = 36 units
3/4 dz = (0.75 of 12) = 9 apples
Hence 3 and 3/4 dz means 36 + 9 = 45 apples
Step 4; Method- now having find the cost of one apple- for this we have to divide the total cost of 9 apples by 9
ie. 108 divided by 9 = Rs. 12/=
Step 5: Find the cost of 45 apples.
working: Multiply 45 x 12 = Rs.540 ANSWER

Answer 5:-
Step 1. What is asked- To find the average of the first 5 Consecutive numbers starting from 11
Step 2. Method: This means- 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15
Step 3. Add 11 + 12+ 13+ 14+ 15 + 16 = 81 / 5 = 16.2 (Answer)

Answer 6:-
Question:- S.I. on Rs. 972 at 14% per annum for a certain time is Rs. 476.28. Find the time ?
Solution:-
Step 1: Data give:- Principal = 972, S.I. = Rs. 476.28, Rate of interest = 14 %
Step 2:- To find what? - Time for which it was invested
Step 3:- Formula to be used--- S.I. = P*R*N/100
Stgep 4; Method of wroking:-
N = (S.I.*100) / (P*R) = (476.28 * 100) / (972 * 14) = 3.5
Step 5: Answer:- The time is 3.5 years.

Answer. 7:-
Find selling price when cost price = Rs. 50 , Loss/Gain = 10 %
Solution:-
Step: what is given?--- C.P. = Rs. 50 , Gain = 10 %
Step 2: What is to be found out?- Selling Price
Step 3: Formule to be used:- S.P. = C.P. × ( 100 + Gain% ) / 100 = 50 × ( 100 + 10 ) / 100 = 55 Rs.
Sep 4: Method:- C.P. = Rs. 50 , Loss = 10 %
S.P. = C.P. × ( 100 - Loss% ) / SUB>100 = 50 × ( 100 - 10 )/ 100 = 45 Rs.
Step 5: Answer:- Selling Price is Rs. 45

Question 8:-
A number is 20% of 80. Or Find 20% of 80.
Solution:-
20% of 80 = (20 / 100 × 80 ) = 16

Question 9:- Find the area and perimeter of Square whose one side is 6 cm

Solution:-
Square:- d = a Ö2; P = 4a; A = a2 = 1/2 d2;
Area = (132)/2 = 84.5; Perimeter = 2 × (2)1/2 × 13 = 36.77
Area =( side x side) 6 × 6 = 36Sq cm
Perimeter = ( 4 x side)4 × 6 = 24 cm

Make sure that you use the correct units after the answer
Question 10:- Find the Area and Perimeter of a Rectangle whose Length is 6cm and breadth is 4 cm
Solution:-
Formulae:- P = 2(L+B); A = L × B;
Area = 6 × 6 = 36 sq cm
Perimeter = 2(l+ b) = 2(6+4) = 20 cm
