Indian Air Force has called for application from candidates who desire to be commissioned as officers in
a)      Flying branch
b)      Technical Branch
c)       Ground Duty Branches

Age: 19 years to 23 as on 01 July 2015 (For Flying Branch)
Qualification: Min Degree with 60% in any discipline (must have taken PCM in +2)
Physical standards: 
Height and weight- 162.5 cms with correlated weight
Leg length min 99 cms and max 120 cms
Thigh length max 64 cms
Sitting Height Min 81.5 cm and Max 96 cms

Technical Branch:
a)      Age: 18 to 28 years as on 01 July 2015 ( born between 02 July 1987 to 01 July 1997)Both dates are inclusive.
b)      Educational Qualification:
i)                    Aeronautical Engineer (AE [L])
ii)                  Aeronautical Engineer [ AE(M)]
Physical Standards:
                Height: 152 cm for women and 162 for men
Ground Duty Branches:
a)      Age:  For graduates                                 - 20 to 23 years
b)      PG-                                                                -20 to 25 years
c)       LLB                                                                 -20 to 26 years
d)      M.Ed/Ph.D/CA/ICWA                             -20 to 27 years  
AFCAT: 31 Aug 2014
+ EKT for engineers( 30 mins extra)
AFCAT – 2hours minus marking
Subjects covered:
a)      Multiple choice Questions on Verbal ability
b)      Numerical ability
c)       Reasoning
d)      General Awarness
e)      Military aptitude
+ EKT for engineers ( as per their subject studied)
SSB centres: Mysore, Varanasi, Dehradun or Gandhinagar
Note: 10 % Vacancy is reserved for NCC Air Wing “C” Certificate Holders.
Pay and allowances:
(Candidates above the age of 25 may be married.
Training:-
 72 Week for Flying and tech branches
52 weeks for Ground duties  
a) Flying Branch: - Rs 72,150/-
 (b) Technical Branch: - Rs 63,400/-
 (c) Ground Duty Branches: - Rs 60,900
Insurance: Rs. 50 lakhs = 3.5 for flying Branch
