Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC- DEHRADUN) Entrance Exam

RIMC Entrance Exam 2019 -  Rashtriya Indian Military College Entrance Exam acronym as RIMC Entrance Exam is conducted by Rashtriya Indian Military College on All India basis twice in a year for providing admission to boys in the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun - an Inter-Services Institution and a Category ‘A’ establishment of the Ministry of Defence  established in 1922 - with the primary aim of preparing the boys for entry into Defence Services and to provide quality all-round education to young boys.
Candidates are admitted to the Eighth Class through RIMC Entrance Exam.

Educational Qualification
Aspiring Candidates should either be studying in Class VII or passed Class VII from any recognized school at the time of admission to the RIMC.

Age Limits
Aspiring candidates appearing for RIMC Entrance Exam should not be less than 11½ years of age but should not have attained the age of 13 years as on 01 Jan of the respective year.

Viva Voce
The interview will be of

50 marks and

 held for only those candidates who qualify in the written exam. Intelligence and personality of the candidates will be tested in the interview.


Medical Examination
The candidates finally selected after the viva-voce will undergo a medical examination at selected Military Hospitals and only those candidates found medically fit will be considered for selection and admission to the RIMC. The medical examination of the candidates forms only a part of the system of selection and does not imply the final selection.


RIMC Entrance Exam Qualifying marks
Minimum pass marks in each paper including interview will be 50%.

How to apply for RIMC Entrance Exam 2019?
Aspiring candidates can obtain prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old question papers by registered post/speed post by sending a written request with an account payee bank demand draft of the requisite fee. The demand draft will be made in favour of:

Note: Locally printed or photocopied and without RIMC Hologram (Seal) forms will be rejected.
Applications in duplicate on prescribed form accompanied by documents to be attached with application form two passport size photographs, Birth Certificate (issued by Municipal Corporation/Gram Panchayat, SC, ST Certificate and Certificate from the principal of the School in original with a photograph on it attested stating date of birth and in which Class studying. Application forms should reach the respective Govts(as specified in the press note) of the States, where their parents /guardians normally reside on or before the Last Date.

Important: Kindly note the application forms must be sent to the respective State Govts and not to the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, else the form will be invalid.

RIMC Interview Coaching - online information Important Details:-

Written Exam

The written examination comprises of three different papers including English (from 10 am to 2 pm) and Maths (from 2 pm to 3:30 pm). These papers will be commenced in the first week of December. After these two papers, there will be General Knowledge Paper (from10 to 11 am) which will commence just the next day. The minimum passing marks for each paper will be 50%.For Complete Study kit:-

Viva Voice


The interview date will take place in the month of For Dec exam next April, and for June exam it would be around October of the same yearThe interview will take place only for those boys who qualify written test successfully. Minimum passing marks in the interview would be 50%. Candidate will receive a date and venue for the interview in the month of March. Medical Examination


Once candidates qualify interview shall proceed for medical test at chosen Military Hospitals. Those who are absolutely fit will be selected for admission to RIMC.Documents Required

1.All below-mentioned documents are to attached the RIMC 2019 application form:2.The affixed photograph on the application form must be signed by the candidates below the photograph in the boxOriginal school studying certificate with a photograph on it attested by the principal stating the class in which the candidate is studying and the age of the candidate as per school records In the application form there you will see the small envelope, this is for admit card, Write your correspondence address. Affixed the 40 rupees postage stamp. Authority will send back you through the speed post Send the Photocopy of Domicile Certificate of a candidate which is attested by class 1 Gazetted OfficerThe student should also send 2 passport size photographs and must be signed by the candidate on the reverse side.Send copies of Date of Birth Certificates which one verify by MCD and Class 1 Gazetted officer

RIMC entrance exam syllabus

The RIMC entrance exam papers are more or less similar to the CBSE/ICSE/State Board. The question paper will be set as per the standards of 7th class of the Boards mentioned above. The question paper will be divided into 3 sections- English, Mathematics and General Knowledge. At truemaths there will be separate faculty members to teach these subjects.
