All You want to Know about Army Cadet College and how to become an Officer after joining the Army as  a Soldier  ?


Joining the Army at an young age due to family circumstance is perfectly OK. 
But after you have joined why not try and become an Officer in the Army?

 

In order to help the serving personnel of all the three forces, army has opened an Entry Scheme known as

ARMY CADET COLLEGE Entry.

Army Cadet College is located in Dehradun within the IMA Campus.
It is a separate wing of the IMA
The Qualification required to join ACC is
One must have served as a Soldier, Airman, Sailor for about 2 years or more
Age not exceeding 27 years at the time of entry in to ACC.
To gain admission one has to take an entrance examination  that consists of
Four subjects
a) Mathematics
b) General English
c) Aptitude Test (Reasoning/ verbal/ non verbal intelligence)
d) Science and General awareness.
Each paper has 100 Questions
Minus marking for wrong answers
Once you qualify you will have to clear Services Selection Board
Medical and thereafter be in Merit.
The entrance is offered Twice a year almost similar to NDA.
You will also be getting a Degree in B.A / B.Sc after three years of Training at ACC.
On your successful completion you will be admitted in second term of IMA like that of NDA Cadets.
In all other respect you will be treated at par with NDA cadets and direct entry Second term Cadets.


Improve your qualification, while you are in your service.
If you had joined the Army/ Navy/ Airforce just after completing 10th class nothing to worry.
You can sit for departmental exams in army, navy, airforce and become eligible to take on the Written test for ACC.
Example Army Spl Class certificate is equal to HSc in civil or 10 + 2
Corporal exam- is equal of 10 + 2  
and like wise in Navy too.
So work hard and achieve success in  your life.
