37.5   Let the sum of two numbers be ‘nb”. , n/ 50 = 38 or n = 50 x 38 = 1900
Less ( 45 and 55) = 1900 – 100 = 1800
Now total numbers is 5-02 = 48. 1800 / 448 = 37.5 answer
10
62 Years
Solution:
Let the ave age of 8 men be x years, total of 8 = 8x.
Age of 7 men +30 = 8x ---(p)
Secondly  average age of 8 men  = ( x+4) years
7 men + new man   = 8x +32---( ii)
Subtraction of both equations gives
7 men + new man   - ( 7 men -30) = 8x +32 -8x
Of the age of the new man is 62 years

Rs.6400
Solution:
Let each share be Rs.200
Then then present value of the ratio is
P 6 : Q 19 : R 7, I.e P= 1200, Q= 3800 and R = 1200
R gives 200 to Q
because total amount is Rs.6400 hence the division of 3:{10 :3  would be
 ( 1200 + 4000 + 1200)
13.
Rs.800
50 x ( 100 + 300 / 100) x ( 100 + 300 ) 100 =  (400 / 100) x (400 /100) = 4 x 4 x5 0 = Rs.800
14
Rs. 450.
Co = 100
After loss of 19% = 100 – 19 – 81
And gain of 17% = 100 + 17 = 117
Difference = 117 – 81 = 36
If 36 is the difference then CP is Rs. 100. If the Dif is Rs. 162, then CP = 100 x 162 / 35 = Rs.450
