What common mistakes the candidates do while calculating  Time and Distance Problem ?

Question

Calculate the distance Travelled by a car,  inn 12 minutes, if its speed was 50 km/hr.

The common mistake done by candidates was
they do not convert minutes in hours / seconds

They find out the speed in m/s and then
multiply this with 12 which is wrong

First of all they should convert the 12 mins into hour
ism 12 min is 1/ 5 an hour

or 1 min = 60 sec
hence 12 min = 60 x 12 = 720 seconds

Both are correct.

The answer would be
Distance travelled in one hour is 50 kms
or
in 60 mins
60 mins has 60/ 12= 5  , ( 12 mins ) is
                   60/ 12 x 50  ====== x    50/ 5 =   10 km per hour
or find out m/.s
by using the formula 50 x 5 / 18 x 720 = 10 km s
