Sainik School :
Almost every state ow
ns a sainik school and for Tamilnadu it is located at Amaravathi nagar 22kms from Udumalpet, Tirupur Dt. Sainik School, Amaravathinagar is an English Medium Residential School, which  prepares boys both academically and physically for entering into National Defence Academy and other walks of life. The administration of all sainik schools is vested in an Autonomous Board of Governors under the Chairmanship of the Defence Minister. Admissions confined to 6th  about ( 100 Boys per year) and 9th (about20 boys per year) only through an Entrance Exam followed by Medical and Viva. Admission is made on final merit list
DEFENCE ACADEMY WHICH IS BEING RUN BY EX DEFENCE OFFICER OFFERS EXCELLENT COACHING FOR ADMISSION.
The academy only gives admission to 10 boys per year. Out of which about 40 % makes it in the final merit.

Military school :
Special Coaching is provided for military school entrance examination, which is conducted by Army Headquarters. Military school is located in Bangalore. Two kinds of admission tests conducted for admission to Military schools . Admission to class VI is conducted during the month of December & to class from VII to IX is carried out through lateral examination held in the month of Feb each year. For admission students has to undertake an entrance examination. The successful candidates will be called for an interview and medical checkup.
RIMC :


VII std boys will be provided special coaching to appear for entrance exam conducted by the TNPSC and staff Selection Board on behalf of RASHTRIYA INDIAN MILITARY COLLEGE (RIMC) located at DehraDun. It is an All India

Examination, which will, consists of written examination in English, Mathematics and General knowledge.
