How to excel in Maths?

    1. Understand the basic concepts

      2. Practice -Practice. You cannot read maths you will have to perform steps

      3. Try different methods to arrive at the answer

      4. Practice similar problems.

      5. Understand what is req.uired to be found

      6. Use formulas

      7. Where necessary use short cuts

      .Eg:

      Convert 72 kilometers into meters per second

      To solve this you will have to know:-

      1 hour has how many seconds

      1 km has how many meters

      unless you know the above, you cannot get the answer

      hence 1km = 1000 m

      and 1 hr = 60 x 60 seconds

      Therefore 72 km = 72 x 1000 m

      to find out m/s  72000/ 60 x 60 = 72000/ 3600 = 720/36

      ie. 60/ 3 = 20 m/second

      or ( 72 X 5) / 18 = 4X 5 = 20 m/s answer
