ARMED FORCES PREPARATORY ACADEMY, COIMBATORE (AFPAC)

Aim
The academy aims at training selected young boys from all over India for permanent commission in the Armed Forces through the National Defence Academy, Pune and 10+2 Tech Entry at Officers Training Academy, Gaya. The academy will initially target training 30 boys as the residential program.
What we proposed to do?
The training will focus the following areas;
1.      Regular academic course – all the cadets has to compulsorily study Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in +1 and +2, since these subjects are essential requirement for the NDA written test and 10+2 Tech entry. The school concerned shall look after this part.
2.      NDA written preparatory course – This part shall be coordinated with the staff of Defence Academy Coimbatore so as to prepare them for the NDA/10+2 tech. This will focus on preparing the cadets for the NDA written test which is conducted by the UPSC. The cadets have to take the test during his +2 itself.
3.      SSB Training – all the cadets shall be trained to face the Services Selection Board interview which require preparation for at least 2 years. Defence Academy with its full-fledged team of officers shall look after the SSB training.
4.      Physical Training and Games – a physical instructor shall be appointed to look after the regular PT and games practice of the cadets.
WHEN to Start?
Jan 2016 Preliminary written Test- Computer based
Results will be announced and aspirants would be called for an interview in the first week of Feb 2016
         Condition The boy has to qualify the written test conducted by us and get through a Prelim test, screening interview and Medical exam
Testing fee is Rs.100 only.  
30 candidates will be admitted to the school that has a Hostel and a good play  
Ground.  Messing will be in the hostel. All cadets will have to stay in the hostel.
Cadets will have to pay the coaching fee and school fee before joining the academy.


A fee of Rs. 2 l is likely to be charged from cadets joining our academy this is per year.
