What is AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test) ?
AFCAT is conducted by Indian Air Force for the selection of officers in the three major branches such as:-
- -Flying branch -Technical branch and -Ground Duty branch

The AFCAT is a paper having duration of 2 hours. Consisting of the following syllabus
- a)General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defense, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.
- b) Verbal Ability in English – Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms (meanings of English words), Antonyms (opposite meanings of English words) and Vocabulary evaluation.
- c) Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest.
- d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude– Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.
Notification/Advertisement for AFCAT:-
The AFCAT paper occurs twice a year generally in February and August every year.
Now the next question which comes in the mind of the candidate is as to when to apply for the AFCAT Written examination.
You can apply for the AFCAT examination; the Advertisement for AFCAT comes every year during the months of December and June. This AFCAT is common for both males/females.\
