AFCAT: Air Force Common Admission Test:-

As an engineer you are eligible to apply for
a) Pilot Entry
b) Technical Officer Entry
c) Ground Duty Entry

This is not so in case of other Graduates.

The Defence Forces needs more technically qualified officers than  non technical officers.

For, to day's Defence Forces use more technology than earlier days.

Entries in Navy:-

Electrical Branch
Electronical Branch-
Signal and communication
Aviation
Air traffic controllers
Armament Officers
Submarine cadre officers

The scope is wide and ample of opportunity to rise up in the service

Call for Residential and Non Residential courses

Generally the Navy calls for application twice a year

in the month of May and Oct
While studying in your Third Year you can apply and get a call to attend the Interview

If you do well and get recommended in the Third year of Engineering you will be allowed to continue with your studies in the same college in forth year. On completing your graduation you can join the academy.
At the end of your training you will be paid the stipend for your fourth year as well as the stipend for the duration of your training in the academy.
