Ways to Prepare for Taking on Rashtriya Indian Military College Entrance Examination

Requirement:-
Age:- 11.5 to 13 Years as on 01 Jan or 01 July of the year of entry
Education:- Boy must be studying in class VII at the time of entry

Exam pattern:-

Maths, English, GK level Class VII CBSE- paper is set in ENGLISH/ HINDI


Start preparaing at least One Year or Six months in advance

How To Prepare Well For RIMC Entrance Examination: Time Management

Make a study plan and a routine and study daily

What subject to study- which chapter to study - When? (week- Date and Time)

Time Table your studies:- Say

0600- 0700 A.M

Mathematics- Chapter- I Numerics

Best Time:- 1. Get up early take a walk and sit down to study.

2. Morning is the best time 3. Make a time table and follow it strictly.
4. Divide and Study


Divide the portions giving a particular amount of time to each Like say for example you feel better to do math when you are fresh so do it in the morning.


General awareness after lunch and then English in the evening.

Working with Mathematics:-[
Maths in RIMC is divided into


a) Easy
b) Moderate and

c) Slightly Difficult
Difficulty level increases with Marks

MUST--- BE VERY CLEAR with the Basic concepts.

Write all the formula’s neatly on a paper.

spend the initial five minute in reading the formula, you can even practice by writing it every day.

Go for clearing the concept first.

If you are clear with the basic concepts then you can do a variety of questions.

Moving on to class VII and VIII Level as you understand the Concept
Maths is to be practiced as-

1. Basic Skills

2. Application Based Sums

3. Skill Based Sums


General Knowledge:-

Now this is not something which can be prepared within a day. Revise the main sport event, India’s position in important events like Olympics etc. Take into account about recent award winner in India. You can divide the rest like study for Physics chemistry and biology from the book you have purchased or you can read from nutshells in NCERT books or any 10th level book. The same goes for history and geography. Indian polity is important as well. Here also remember to clear the concepts.
Dealing with English:-

Brush up all your grammar portions keep clear with the main concepts here as well. As far as antonyms and synonyms are concerned divide the words into groups like negative words, positive words and neutral words. You can also make cards and write some typical words on them and its antonym and synonym of that word on the other side of the card and carry it with you so you’ll be able to see it whenever you like for a number of times and you’ll be able to remember it.
Practice by solving the previous papers and show it to your teacher for correction and Guidence
Practice Makes you perfect:-
Previous Years Papers about 15 % of the Questions come from Previous years Papers. hence practice these questions The more questions you practice, more knowledge you gain. If you practice a lot number of questions and especially the previous year’s papers then you come across many facts specially in the GA portion hence don’t forget to do this.
