NDA Exam Topper ‘s Secret of Success

Arun was  just a class XII boy who had come to our academy for National Defence Academy training.
He told others during his felicitation as follows:-
“I believe that there is no substitute to HARD WORK, one should be FOCUSED on what one wants to achieve.”

Tell us about how you prepared for the exams. Did you start studying from Day One onwards? 
I started preparing for NDA exam from June 2011.( ie, while I was in class IX )
On an average I used to study for about 5 hours per day.

What are your hobbies, if any? Did they come in the way of your studies?
I like painting. But I stopped attending painting classes to ensure it didn't come in the way of my studies. Watching TV, listening to music,
A lot of people believe watching TV is injurious to studying. Do you agree?
Yes, it's true.  But while preparing for SSB watching News Channel is very helpful, this helped me in being knowledgeable about what is happening in and around where we live.
The secret of excelling in studies, according to you, is ---?
Being attentive in the classroom and having confidence in yourself. It's all about focusing fully on what you want to do, about how use your intelligence.

Many students say tuition are more important than regular classes at school/college, to excel in studies.

: According to me tuition are only to supplement the regular classes.
: Tuition are of tremendous use as they help you in many ways. It is stressful and is a part of a student's life. We have to live with it and have confidence in ourselves.
