HOW TO EXCEL IN ALL INDIA SAINIK SCHOOL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION?

Some Facts about Sainik School Admission


Vacancies are limited
For Class VI, it is about 80 to 90 for boys and about 10 seats for Girls
For Class IX
It would be about 10 to 15 depending on school and dropouts in earlier classes

Is it difficult to gain admission?
Moderately difficult due to a large number of applicants. The approximate ratio of applicant Vs Final Admission is about 40: 1
For Girls, the ratio may be 100: 1
How should we prepare a child to Face this entrance Examination?
Before we learn about the tips, let us see what are the subjects in which a candidate would be tested?
For Class VI
a) Mathematics--- 50 Questions--- 150 Marks
b) English --- 25 Questions--- 50 Marks
c) GK& Science--- 25 Questions--- 50 Marks
d) Mental Ability --- 25 Questions--- 50 Marks

Total Marks 300
In last year entrance examination, only those candidates who scored about 80 % in the general category got admission
For Class IX, the cut off marks were about 85%

How to prepare?
In my personal opinion, a boy or girl whose IQ (Intelligence Quotient) is above 120 can be prepared in about three to four months to face the entrance examination

For Others, it may require a longer duration defence Academy has started year-long ONLINE classes, for aspirants who are of average intelligence charge a fee of Rs. 36500 per year this works out to be just Rs. 100 per dayThis fee includes a set of hard copy of books which alone cost Rs. 3500
