Duration of Study at National Defence Academy is Three Years

As per to-days standard a min of Rs.50,000 pension is what you can expect. even as a soldier who puts in about 17 years of service.
Almost every one with about 30 years of service will end up as a full colonel and will be eligible for a pension of min 1.00 lakhs.

You will be away from home and may not be able to join your family members during Festivals
You may be provided with housing facilities ( well 75% you get) When posted to serve for the mother land you will be asked to serve in extreme weather conditions
