Ways to join Sainik School:-

  1. Apply for admission in October to the School you want your daughter to Study

  2. Prepare the candidate to face the written test conducted in the month of Jan first week

  3. Get the child prepared for Medical and Interview

  4. Admission confirmation after Merit list in April

  5. Joining School in June first week

Ways To Join Indian Army As An Officer For Girls - Women Entries In Indian Army.

Introduction:-




In 1992, an important landmark in the history of Indian Army was the induction of women into the officer cadre, and the onerous task of training them was undertaken by the Officers Training Academy through various women entries. So far, more than 1200 Lady Cadets have already been commissioned into the various Arms and Services of the Indian Army. For women, it is compulsory for you to be a graduate to apply.

The various ways in which women can join the Indian Army in 2018 after graduation can be classified into 3 categories: UPSC, Non-UPSC, Professional and Technical Entries.



Types of Entries in ARMY:-





  1. - UPSC Entry/SSCW(NT)

  2. - Non-UPSC Entries

  3. SSCW NCC (SPL) Entry Women

  4. SSCW Judge Advocate General

  5. - SSCW(Tech) Entry

  6. N.C.C Spl Entry

  7. Medical Graduates as Officers in ARMY, NAVY and AIRFORCE

  8. Territorial Army for Working Women

  9. Dental Officers entry with out SSB Interview
    10. For Airforce via AFCAT



  • Via N.C.C Spl Entry for pilots




  • For Navy:-

    Direct Entry- UES entries



  • Coast Guard - Only Commercial Pilot Licence Holders can apply (as of now)




  • For Central Police Organisation:-



  • Via Staff Selection


  • Written- Physical endurance- Main entrance -medical cum interview




  • Military Nursing Service:-

    via a written test and interview
