that can be formed from 3,0, 9, 7 without
repeating any number.
2. Find the LCM of 4, 12 and 30
3. What is the Roman numeral that does not get repeated more
than 3 times (Write all )
4. If a man wants to buy 5 pens and 4 note books, and the shopkeeper
says, 1 dozen pen costs Rs.144
And ½ Dz note books cost Rs.72. How much will he pay all
together?

7. Find the area of a circle whose radius is 7 cms
8. Find the volume of a Cube whose one side is 7 cm.
9. Find the average of the first 7 Prime numbers starting
from 11.
10. Find the Selling price of a horse, if its purchase price
was Rs.12,500, and the seller needs 12% profit on it sale.
Formula to be used
Area of a square is Side x Side
Area of a circle is pie x radius x radius
(pie = 22 / 7)
Area is always in square units
Volume of the cube is Side x Side x Side
Average = Sum of all / Qty
SP = CP + Profit
Profit % = Profit / CP *100
Use BODMAS to solve the simplification

Solutions:
1. Write the Sum and Difference between the greatest and the least 4 digit numbers that can be formed from 3,0, 9, 7 without repeating any number.
Greatest 4 digit number is 9730
Least 4 digit Number is 3079
SUM 12809
Difference 6651
2. Find the LCM of 4, 12 and 30
4 = 2 x 2
12 =2 x 2 x 3
30 = 2 x 3 x 5
LCM = 2 x 2x 3 x 5 = 4 x 15 = 60 answer
3. What is the Roman numeral that does not get repeated more than 3 times (Write all )
No digit is repeated in succession more than thrice, i.e., I, X and C cannot be repeated more than 3 times.
(d) The digits V, L and D are not repeated. The repetition of V, L and D is invalid in the formation of numbers.
4. If a man wants to buy 5 pens and 4 note books, and the shopkeeper says, 1 dozen pen costs Rs.144
And ½ Dz note books cost Rs.72. How much will he pay all together?
Solution:
1 dz = 12 units
cost of 12 pens = Rs.144
cost of 1 pen = 12 , ( 12 x 5 = Rs. 60)
Cost of 6 note books is Rs. 72 , hence one book is Rs. 12
Hence cost of 4 books = 12 x 4 = 48
Total of 5 pens + 4 books = Rs. 108 Answer
5. Find the value of {6 x ( 8 + 2) – ( 4-3)}
BODMAS
{ 6 x ( 10) - ( 1) }
{ 6 x 9}
= 54 answer
6. Find the Area of a Square whose one side is 15 cm.
Side x side = 15 x 15 = 225 sq cm
7. Find the area of a circle whose radius is 7 cms
Area = Pie x r x r = 22/ 7 x 7 x 7 = 22 x 7 = 154 sq cm
8. Find the volume of a Cube whose one side is 7 cm.
Volume = Side x Side x Side = 7 x 7 x 7 = 49 x 7 = 343 Cubic cm
9. Find the average of the first 7 Prime numbers starting from 11.
11 + 13+ 17 + 19 + 23 + 29 + 31
143 / 7 = 20.428
10. Find the Selling price of a horse, if its purchase price was Rs.12,500, and the seller needs 12% profit on it sale.
For 100 rs Profit is Rs. 12
Therefore for 12500 ----X
Cross multiply 12500 x 12 / 100
125 x 12 = Rs.1500 Profit
Therefore selling price is Rs. 12500 + 1500 = Rs. 14,000 Answer
