HOW TO ENTER INTO INDIAN ARMY AS AN OFFICER?

Dear Aspirant, Congratulations on your decision to join the Defence Forces as an Officer Let us explore all the possiblities one by one. I will try and cover as many ways as possible in detail, This section is ment of Parents who would like to see their son/ daughter as Defence Officers.

For Boys



OPTIONS
1.Sainik Schools There are 25 India. Admission is via an Entrance Exam, Written and Viva, Medical and Merit list
2.Military Schools Rashtriya Military Schools- 5 in all. Age limit and entrance same as Sainik Schools.
3.JNV Jawahar Navodya Schools. Though they are not under Defence, It is the cheapest Residential school with Good coaching
4.RIMC Rashtriya Indian Military College- Dheradun- Yearly Two course, 25 Vacancy in class VIII only. Admission via Entrance Exam

4.Personal Interview On Passing Written
Apply In mid July Exam 2nd/3rd Week of December 50 Seats- Reservation quota allowed Age as on 02nd July - Less than 11 Years

4.Personal Interview On Passing Written
Apply In mid July Exam 2nd/3rd Week of December 10 Seats- Reservation quota allowed Age as on 02nd July - Less than 14 Years
