Indian Army is considered as one of the most reputed organization, every young man of the country wanted to join the organisation. The young aspirants who want to join the Indian army remain confused on how to join the army. There is definitely a lack of awareness among the parents and also the youth.
We list various ways and entry schemes to join the Indian Army and the qualifications required to join the Indian Army after 12th.
There are two ways to join the Indian Army after passing class 12th.
Details of NDA requirements for Indian Army/Air Force/Navy
Age requirement– 16.5 to 19 years (at the day course is expected to begin)
The candidate should have born day between 2nd January to 1st July for December course and 2nd July to 1st January for July course.

Qualification– 12th Class, 10+2 for Army and for Navy and Air Force 10+2 with Maths and Physics.
Martial Status – Unmarried
Application – Application to be received by 10-15 November for the January course and 10-15 April for the July course.

Age– 16 1/2 to 19 1/2 years

Qualification– 10+2 Physics, Chemistry & Maths (Candidate should have aggregate of 70% and above to apply)
Martial Status– Unmarried
Expected date for SSB– August to October and February to April
Training Duration– 5 years (1 year at IMA and 4 years at CTWS)
Training Academy– Indian Military Academy, Dehradun
Age– 16 1/2 to 19 1/2 years
The candidate should have born date between 1st July to 1st July for January course and 1st January to 1st January for July course.
Qualification– 10+2 Physics, Chemistry & Maths (Candidate should have aggregate of 70% and above to apply)

After 12th, ways to get into Indian Air Force are very limited. There is only one way to join the air force after 12th under NDA.

Gender– Male only
Martial status– Unmarried
Educational Qualification– 10+2 with Maths and Physics.
Application– As per the notification of UPSC
Training Duration– 3 years at NDA and 1 and 1/2 years at AFA (Air Force Academy) Hyderabad
