How to face the Discussion during the PPDT stage?

  • Do not memorize some story that you have read in some book/ some web page or from some one-else's experience and try to imagine that if is ok to tell the story.
  • Do not be nervous, do some deep breathing exercise before your turn comes.
  • Listen attentively to others narration.
  • Your story must connect to the picture / action perceived
  • Tell it boldly- start with Number of persons, their sex, age and mood. what is happening as per your view.
  • Use your 1 minute time to tell the past, present and the future of your story.
During the Discussion stage:

Do not dominate.
Listen to others.
Take part in the discussion  and use your Reasoning power and try to influence the others by mixing the points well
so that others agree to your views and come to a common conclusion.

  • What is seen by the assessment officers during the discussion stage?  

  • Intelligence and imagination in perceiving the stimulus ( action in the picture).
  • Building your story as per the actions taken by the main character.
  • Your level of Confidence while speaking to other members.
    • Your Power of expression (Verbal)
    • Your level of Initiative and enthusiasm and co-operating with others.
    • Your attitude towards others and listening to others views.
    • Lastly your ability to lead the group for a positive conclusion.
