HOW TO ENTER INTO INDIAN ARMY AS AN OFFICER?

Congratulations on your decision to join the Defence Forces as an Officer

Let us explore all the possibilities one by one. I will try and cover as many ways as possible in detail,



This section is meant of Parents who would like to see their son/ daughters as Defence Officers.

For Boys








OPTIONS




  1. Sainik Schools    There are 25 India. Admission is via an Entrance Exam, Written and Viva, Medical and Merit list
  2. Military Schools   Rashtriya Military Schools- 5 in all. Age limit and entrance same as Sainik Schools.
  3. JNV   Jawahar Navodya Schools. Though they are not under Defence, It is the cheapest Residential school with Good coaching
  4. RIMC  Rashtriya Indian Military College- Dheradun- Yearly Two course, 25 Vacancy in class VIII only. Admission via Entrance Exam
