How to choose the Schools for A career in Defence Services- Sainik- RMS- RIMC ?

Dear Parents,
if you have decided to build a path for your Son to wear on uniform early in life, then you can choose any one of the schools mentioned above.

Sainik School / Rashtriya Military School/ Rashtriya Military College.

Class of Entry:   School ---- Age---- Exam conducted in

VI----------------Sainik-------10- 11 Yrs-----First week of Jan

VI----------------RMS---------10- 11 Yrs-----Second week of Dec

VIII--------------RIMC---------11.5-13 Yrs---June 1/2 & Dec 1/2


No of seats:   Sainik---------100 per school . Incl of all cat

                    Gen Public----55 Seats Rest goes in reservation

RMS----------50 x 5 schools- 13% of 7 seats for Gen public
                    Rest goes as Reserved Seats

RIMC--------25 seats per term. Approx 1 per state.


No: Candidates who take entrance exam per year

this is an approx fig    for Sainik School Amaravathinagar
                                1800- 2000 candidates for 100 seats
RMS---------for 5 schools  10,000 per year
 

RIMC------In TN  about 300 per term  for 2 seats./ term

Requirement:  High- IQ level

subjects in Written test--- Maths, eng, int and GK
