Mathematics:-
Read- write- Practice solving problems- draw and understand each step to solve geometry problems.
Learn formula by heart- write once in the morning and once at night, so that you can recall quickly.
Break down the questions and solve step by step.
Take one chapter at a time. Till you are through, do not go over to next chapter.
Mathematics can be solved only when you understand the previous chapter.
Unless you understand percentage, you may not be able to solve Simple Interest or Profit or Loss.
In our Skill Builder Kit
We have divided the chapters and given sample sums.
You can calculate in the work book each and every chapter.
Day 1 work sheet:
Q.1. Siva earned Rs. 9000 in 3 months. How much money did he earn per month?
Step 1: what is give: Siva earned Rs. 9000 in 3 Months.
Step 2: What is to be found out?----- How much does he earn in one month?
Step 3: What is the method to work out?
Let us use logic. He earned Rs. 9000 in 3 months
To find out how much he earned in a month. We have to divide the Total amount earned by total number of months
It Rs. 9000 divided by 3 months. This will give the amount earned in one month.
Step 4: Calculation: 9000/ 3= Rs. 3000
Step 5: Therefore Siva earned Rs. 3000 in one month. ANSWER.
Like this you will have to write down the step for each sum and practice for at least 10 sums.
Thereafter you can calculate in just three steps. Or carry out a mental calculation.
If the same question is asked as follows:
Sive worked for three months from 01st Jan to 31st March in 2016 and earned Rs. 9000 in all.
How much money did he earn in the month of February?
Here the reasoning has to be used.
Now you will have to apply the acquired knowledge as follows:
No of days is Jan 2016 = 31 days
No of days in Feb 2015 = 28 days (it is a non leap year, hence it has only 28 days)
No of days in Mar2015 = 31 days
Total days worked = 31 +28 + 31 = 90 days
Total money earned in 90 days is Rs. 9000
Hence money earned in one day = 9000 divided by 90 = Rs. 100
So, money earned in 28 days (Feb)
Per day money earned is Rs. 100 x 28 = Rs. 2800 Answer
Hence if you do not read and understand the problem you will miss out the correct answer.
We at Maths academy teach children step by step math’s.
