1.    A court yard 220 m long and 140 m broad is to be laid with Bricks of length 25 cm and breadth 16 cm. Find the number of bricks required.


2.    The distance between two cities is 252 km.  The speed of the car is 20 m/ s. Find the total time taken by the car in hours and minutes to cover the distance.

3.    A man bought 50 chairs at the rate the rate of Rs.75 each. He kept 10 chairs for his used and sold the remaining at the rate of Rs.100 each. Find his Percentage of gain.

4.    Simplify:  (a) 9 -8.5 x 0.6 ÷ 5 + 2 =?   ( SSE 1991)

(b) 5 and1/3 + 7 and 1/ 8 X 12 / 19   - 5/6 of 2/3 (Use BODMAS)

     5. If one kg of milk contain 0.375 kg of fat, how much fat will be found in15.75 kg of?

      6. Find the Simple interest earned on Rs.8000 for 73 days months at 5% per annum
.
     7. Find the amount to be paid after 40 months for Rs.50000 taken for loan at 5% SI.

     8.    A) If two angles of a triangle are measuring 50 degrees and 70 degrees than the third angle will be__________ degrees.       

b) Find the Length of the Rectangle if its area is 1200 sq.m and its width is 30 m.

 9. A) Convert 104 degree F into C             

     B) Convert 15 degree C into F   

10.A cubical tin with 25 cm edge contains vegetable oil up to a height of 15 cm. How much oil in Cu.com should be poured into the tin so that the tin is completely filled with oil? 

11. Anand bought 96 eggs For Rs.56, out of them 16 were found broken. He sold the remaining eggs at such a price that he got a gain of Paise 400.  Find the selling price of an egg?            

12. A) How many shirts can be stitched from a cloth of 162 m of cloth, if one shirt requires 1.2 m of cloth?

      B) Ram studied from 05:30 am to 21.30 pm. How many hours did he study?   

13. An alloy contains 40 % zinc, 30 kg copper, and the rest Silver. In 25 kg of alloy what is the amount of silver?

14. A pillar is 30 m height, 5 m long and 4 m wide. Find the total cost in Rs. For its white washing if the rate is Rs.5 per 30 square meter.  

15. A man borrowed Rs.750 at 7% interest. At the end of 5 years he paid back an amount of Rs.550 and gave his watch for the balance. What was the cost of the watch?
