Sainik School- RMS- RIMC Aspirants- Skill Development Tests By www.sainikrimc.com
We conduct three types of Skill finding Tests:
1.Mathematical ( Numerical Skill)
2. English language Skill
3. General awarness Test
4. Verbal and Non-Verbal Test
Why these tests are given?
In order to find out if the child can come up to the requirement standard so that he can get selected for the competitve Exams.
A child develops any skill provided it is given considerable amount of practice.
Numerical skill depends on understanding the Basics.
Let us take an example:
1. Add 6 to the greatest single digist number.
Here the child has to know what is the greatest Single digit number if it does not know it will not do it.
Is it the child's mistake?
No
Because he has not been taught.
If you give the same problem as
Add 6 to 9 many children will do it
6 + 9 = ?
Now see the same question asked differently.
If you add the third even number starting from 2, to the predecessor of the least two digit number the result would be____
Once again the answer is 15
The child has to under stand the logic
and the meaning the third even number starting from 2,
( ie. 2, 4 and 6) hence it is 6 added to
The predecessor of the least two digit number meaning 10 -1 = 9
Hence the
the sum would be 6 + 9 = 15
you will find such sums in our Booklet. and self assessment CD
