DUTIES OF A PILOT / NAVIGATOR BRANCH
Coast Guard operates fixed wing aircraft and Helicopters from Air Stations for Surveillance of the Exclusive Economic Zone. In addition , Helicopters are embarked on Coast Guard Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessels (AOPV)
Or
Offshore Patrol Vessles (OPV) to provide locatl surveillance and perform search and Rescure Missions at sea.
Operating these aircraft at sea is a challenging task and will bring your special skills to the force. As an Officer of the Pilot/ Navigator Branch, you will have opportunity to serve both in the shore Air Stations along the Coast of India,a s well as Onboard ships.
