What are the Pre requite to become a Pilot in the 

Indian Air Force /Indian Navy ?


The Indian Airforce employs pilots to Fly

a) Fighter Air Crafts
b) Transport Air Crafts
c) Helicopters
d) As Instructors to teach rookie pilots
e) Test Pilots
f) To pilot VVIPs

The basic minimum qualification is that the aspirant should have studied Physics and Maths at + 2 Level.
There after any degree in any discipline.

Age 19 to 26 Years 

Entry may be through  
a) National Defence Academy
b) Air Force Common Admission Test ( Applicable for Both Male and Female Candidates)
c) From Ranks in Indian Air Force

The training session would be conducted at Air Force Academy Dundigal ( Hyderabad )
1 Year duration + 6 months administrative training ( initial 6 months common to all branches)
There after specialisation in the respective air crafts.

Does every one who under goes become a pilot?
No, a few candidates may not make it due to a number of reasons, such candidates are trained to become a Navigator in the IAF and fly along with pilots
If they fail to make the grade in Navigation they are sent to become a Ground duty officers, provided they are medically fit.

Imparts Experts coaching for Clearing the Written Test
Imparts Experts coaching to Clear the Air Force Selection Board
and also gives training to clear the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test.
