Age:The applicant should have attained the age of 20 years and should not be aged above 28 years as on 01.07.2015 (should have been born on or after 01.07.1987 and on or before 01.07.1995). The upper age limit relaxation is given to certain categories as follo ws:
Category: BC, BC- M, MBC,DNC- 30 Years
SC, SC(A), ST - 33 years
Destitute Widow- 35 years

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
i. Candidates should possess a degree from any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission
. ii. The candidate must have obtained the degree on or before the date of noti fication i . e. 08.02.2015
. iii. The graduation degree should have been obtained a. after completion of SSLC and Higher Secondary course in the order of 10+2+3 pattern or
b. after completion of SSLC and Diploma in the order of 10+3+3 / 10+3+2 pattern or
c. from an Open University / Distance E ducation / College after completion of SSLC and
I.T.I in the order of 10+2+3 pattern.
iv. Candidates should have studied Tamil as a subject in X / XII / Degree. If not studied, c andidates will have to pass the Tamil - P art II T est conducted by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission within 2 years of joining the s ervice

SECTION - II
1 . STAGES OF THE RECRUITMENT
i. All the eligible candidates will be called for Written Examination
. ii. Amongst the c andidates clearing the Written Examination , the number of candidates call ed for second stage o f Certificate Verification, Physical Measurement Test, Endurance Test and Physical Efficiency Test s will be in the ratio of 1:5 i.e. the number of candidates called for second stage will be restricted to 5 times the number of vacancies in each quota/category .
iii. Only the c andidates clearing the Certificate Verification will be allowed to participate in Physical Measurement Test.
iv. T he candidates who qualify in Physical Measurement Test alone will be allowed to attend Endurance Test .
v. The candidates who qualify in Endurance Test alone will be allow ed to attend Physical Efficiency Test.
vi. Candidates who qualify in Physical Efficienc y Test will be called for Viva - V oce in the ratio of 1:2 i.e. the number of candidates called for Viva - Voce will be restricted to 2 times the number of vacancies in each quota/ category
Selection Stages: Total vacancies - 1078
After Written test-- Stage 1 selection Say 5000 For Endurance test
Stage- 11- 2000 After Physical test- Only will be called for VIVA

Distribution of Marks:
Written exam - 70 marks
Physical Efficienty Test - 15 marks
Special marks - 5 mrks for NCC(1), NSS (1) Sport (2)
Viva -Voce- 10 Marks
Wrtten Exam:-
One paper Objective Type Questions - 2 hr and 30 mins
Min pass mark is 35%
GK- 40 Marks
logical Numerical, Psychology,Communication skills, Info - 30 marks
140 questions- 1/2 marks each
ENDURANCE TEST
Endurance T est comprises of following events.
i. Open quota and 20% Departmental Quota Candidates : -
a. Men: - 1500 metre s run within 7 minutes
b. Women: - 400 metre s run within 2 minutes 30 seconds
ii. Ex - servicemen and Ex - personnel of Central Paramilitary Forces Candidates: -
1500 metres run with in 8 minutes
iii. Only the c andidates who qualify in the Endurance Test will be allowed to appear in Physical Efficiency Test .
Physical Efficiency T est (PE T) comprises of following events .
a ) MEN:

2 Long Jump --3.80 metre s to 4.50 metre s
Or
High Jump--1.20 metre to 1.40 metre s
3 Running 100 metre-- --13.50 sec onds- 15.00 Seconds

400 metre s-- 70.00 seconds to 80.00 second
WOMEN: -
1. Events 1.--Long Jump 3.0 metre s-3.75 metre s
2 Shot - put throw ------4,25 m - 5.50 m
or Cricket ball throw - 17 metre s -- 24 metre s
3 Running 100 metre s--- 15.50 sec to 17.50 Sec
Or
200 metre s 33.00 sec-- to 38.00 sec

Defence Academy Coimbatore will be offering coaching for the above examination 60 days for written and 15 days for Physical Test
