AIM : To prepare boys academically, mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence
Academy (NDA) Khadakwasla, Pune.
CURRICULLUM : 10+2 Science Stream of CBSE, New Delhi
AGE/ELIGIBILITY : (a) For class VI - Boys born between 02 Jul 2004 and
01 Jul 2005 (both days inclusive).
(b) For Class IX - Boys born between 02 Jul 2001 and
01 Jul 2002(both days inclusive).
DATE OF EXAMINATION & CENTRE : On 04 Jan 2015 (Sunday) at Delhi, Rohtak &
Kunjpura (Karnal).
SCHOLARSHIP: By State Government and Ministry of Defence on merit cum means basis (details given
in the prospectus).
TENTATIVE SEATS: Approximately 80 for class VI and 15 for class IX. Actual No. of seats can vary
(increase/decrease) depending on the number of Pass out/Withdrawal.
RESERVATION OF SEATS: Sainik School Kunjpura primarily caters for the boys of Haryana and
Delhi States. Therefore, 67 % of seats are earmarked for the boys of these states, while 33% seats are thrown
open to the boys of other States and UTs. Reservation as per category: 25% seats are reserved for Defence
Personnel (including ex-serviceman), 15% for Scheduled Castes and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes and
remaining seats for General Category.
HOW TO OBTAIN PROSPECTUS: The prospectus cum application form for admission in Sainik
School Kunjpura may be obtained from the Principal Sainik School Kunjpura, Karnal (Haryana)-132023
w.e.f. 15 Oct 2014 to 29 Nov 2014 on all working days between 1000-1300 hrs by paying cash Rs. 400/- for
General and Defence categories and Rs. 250/- for SC and ST categories. The prospectus may also be obtained
by post by sending an application on plain paper by mentioning address and category along with a DD of
State Bank of India of Rs. 450/- for General and Defence categories and Rs. 300/- for SC and ST categories,
drawn in favour of Principal, Sainik School Kunjpura, payable at SBI Kunjpura (Code No. 2400). The
prospectus can be downloaded from school’s website www.sskunjpura.org Duly filled application form can
be submitted by post or in person alongwith a DD of State Bank of India in favour of Principal, Sainik School
Kunjpura, payable at SBI Kunjpura (Code No. 2400). of Rs. 400/- (for General and Defence categories) and
Rs. 250/- (for SC and ST categories).Other documents are to be submitted as mentioned in prospectus.
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM : Duly completed application to reach Principal, Sainik
School Kunjpura, Karnal (Haryana)-132023 by 1300 hrs on 06 Dec 2014 positively. Application received
after due date/Incomplete application will be summarily rejected and no further communication to this effect
will be made on this subject. The School will not be responsible for rejection of the application on account of
postal delay/any other ground/reason.

1. Most of the courier services do not deliver courier at Sainik School Kunjpura being 7 kms away from
Karnal city. It is advisable to send the filled application through Govt. Postal Service/self delivery.
