Instructions for Joining Residential courses at Defence Academy Coimbatore

Procedure to admit the aspirants at Defence Academy Coimbatore for
Residential coaching
1.       Submit an advance amount as admission fee along with an application for Registration as Candidate for Coaching and Hostel admission.
2.       Arrange for advance reservation To and Fro to the academy and back
3.       The Railway station is COIMBATORE Jn.
4.       The candidate has to be brought on the day of commencement of the class or a day earlier, Please intimate to us via Phone- 094437 20076 and an email.
5.       The Items to be brought to the academy is given in the list in our web site.
6.       If you have a local Guardian you are most welcome to send him to our academy to know about our location and buses available. This is due to the Language problem being faced by persons coming from other states.
7.       The best way to reach the academy is to take a call taxi from Railway station and give the address to the driver

Near SS. Hospital    (150 M from VOC Bus stop)
Opposite to Dr. Doorai Kannan’s House
 Bus route
2B, 3G, 3 K, 3H, 3M. , 4 c, 12 H, 21 D, S 21, 25 C, 50 C, 100 and 100 C.
All these buses start from Gandhipuram Bus stand to VOC nagar (Rs. 11 is the bus  fare)
By Call Taxi from Railway Station it is Rs. 200 in day time, we at 9 kms from Railway station.
9.       We request the parents to take a Med claim Policy on the name of the child and send a copy of the same to us.
10.   The parents are allowed to visit the candidates only on SUNDAY with prior information.
11.   You may give a cell phone to the aspirants
12.   We only talk to the parent in case of Emergency.
13.   We keep posting the child’s performance in our web site. www.sainikacademy/8k.com
14.   Please send the books of the present class in which the child is studying.
15.    The food is home cooked. Eggs twice a week, Chicken on Sunday, milk every day two times. For north Indians Chapattis are given three / four times a week.

16.   On arrival at the academy we normally conduct an aptitude test for the child, this is for our record and you need not worry much about it.

17.   If the child’s performance is much below our expectation of 50 % we will inform the parent. In case the parent does not want to admit the child, he is welcome to take the child back. The Adv amount of Rs. 500 will not be paid back. As it is our testing fee. If admitted, it will be adjusted against the total fee payable.

18.   The test will be in pattern of the exam that he would be taking. ( it will consist of Mathematics, English and General Knowledge and Intelligence test)

  1. Class timings: 1000 hours to 1700 hours with one hour break in the afternoon
20.                           On Saturdays we will be conducting the test and that will be reflected  in performance report
