Sainik School NAGROTA( Jammuu and Kashmir ) invites application from eligible boy candidates for admissions to Class VII and IX standards, through All India Sainik School Entrance Exam, for the new academic session 2015 – 2016.


KINDLY NOTE:-Candidates are allowed to take the test in April for class VI and IX.
Unlike other sainik school , sainik school NAGROTA starts its entrance from class VI and IX in April and not in January
Entrance Exams:-“Don’t’ say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day
that were given to Helen Keller, Louis Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa,
Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson and Albert Einstein.”
Nagrota Sainik School Entrance Examination is conducted for admission into class – VI and IX of Sainik Schools in the month of April.
The date of Entrance Examination is preferably on first Sunday of the January every year.

(a) Mathematics-150  Marks-2
hours (0930 hrs - 1130 hrs)
(b) General Knowledge, Language skills
(Hindi & English) and intelligence test-
150 Marks - 2 hours
4.1 The Written examination is held at the School
(1230 hrs - 1430 hrs)

Eligibility
  • Class VII : Boys born between 02 July, 2002 and 01 July, 2004 ( both dates inclusive )
  • Class IX : Boys born between 02 July 2001 and 01 July 2002 ( both dates inclusive ) and studying Class VIII in a recognized school.

    Various Scholarships on the basis of Merit and Income will be awarded by the Respective State Government for the boys who belong to that sate State.       Admission in the school is confined to classes VI and IX for boys of age strictly between 10-11and 13-14 years respectively as 1st July of the year of admission. No relaxation of age limit is permissible under any circumstances. Note: A boy is permitted to appear in Entrance Examination only once for the class in which admission is sought.
