Dear Aspirants,

The personal interview of a SSB / FSB Candidate will be conducted normally by an officer of the rank of a Full Colonel or a Brigadier or an equivalent rank in Air Force, Navy or Coast Guard.

How to prepare for this interview?
Here are a few guidelines to be followed meticulously by the aspirant.
Please write down the likely questions that would be asked by the Interviewing Officer and answer them to the best of your satisfaction.
Almost all the interview starts from your PIQ.
Before the interview commences, the IO, goes through the PIQ written by the candidate, he now makes a few notes on type of doubts that he has on your PIQ.
Questions:
1. What is the meaning of your name, how do I call you?
2. Tell me something about the members of your family?
3. How many siblings do you have, and what are they doing?
4. Tell me something about achievement in school and college starting from class X onwards.
5. Why did you choose the Armed forces as your career?
6. Who will take care of your parents once you join the forces?
7. What if your parents do not want to you to join the forces?
8. Who is more close to you your mother or father?
9. Tell me something about the Sports and extracurricular activities that you have mentioned in your PIQ.
10. What are your hobbies? Have you achieved anything so far by practicing your hobby?
11. Tell me something about the place where you come from?
12. Who the District Collector, Police Commissioner of your district?
13. What is the approx. population of the place?
14 Tell me a few important place of interest that is in and around the place of your residence?
15. If you were an NCC students Scout/ NSS. Tell me about your camps and what have you benefitted from attending such camps?   

ABOUT EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION:
16. What is the full name of your school/ college?
17 Which teacher/ lecturer do you like and why?
18. Which subject do you like, and which subject you not like and why?  
19. Suppose you were the principal of your college, what are the things which you will improve?
20. How many friends do you have?
21. What will your friends tell about you?
22. What are the qualities that you do not like in your friend/ friends?
23. In what way you have helped your friends?
24. Do you have a friends from the opposite sex?
25. During holidays how do you spend your time?
26 what would be your daily routine starting from the time you get up and till you go to bed?


About Defence Services:
27. What are the rank structure of IAF, Army / Navy / Coast Guard?
28. Who is the chief of _______________   IAF, Army / Navy / Coast Guard?
29. When is the Raising day celebrated of IAF, Army / Navy / Coast Guard?
30 Any particular reason as to why that date has been selected?
31. Tell me something about the training institute that you will be joining to complete your pre-commissioning training.
     What are the important Defence Units near to your place of residence?
     Have you ever visited any defence unit?  

Current Affairs.
32. Do you have the habit of reading Newspaper?
33. Which paper/ magazine do you read?/ Book and its author.
34. Tell me 3 important current National and International events.
35. Tell me something about the present problem about J & K.  



Miscellaneous questions:
36. Let us say you have a girlfriend / boyfriend and you are interested to get married to her/him. Your parents are opposing this what would you do?
37. Your brother/ sister is in love with a person from other community and caste, he/ she is interested to get married. What would you do?  
38. While you were travelling by train to reach this SSB center, while detraining you found that your entire luggage is missing what would you do?
39. Your boss told you do something that you do not like what would you do?
40. In the company you are now working, you find that they cheat the government of Tax, what would you do?
41. Do you have any relative serving or has served in Defence? If yes, his rank, arms in which he served and for how long?
42. What would you do if you are not selected in this SSB/ FSB?
43. Do you have any other alternative plan for a different career, if yes tell me about it?
44. Tell me something about the happiest moment of your life and a sad moment of your life.
45. What have you done so for to improve the way of your life?
46. What is your aim in life, and how have you planned to achieve? (Both short term Goal and long term goal).
47. In your opinion why that majority of youngsters is do not like to join the forces?
48. Who is your role model and why?
49. Do you watch you tube/ face book, what you like in this?
50. What are the strong and weak points you have?  

The questions are framed in such a way so as to find out your inborn qualities.
Speak with confidence, and boldness, if you are not aware then be bold enough to accept.  
These are most likely questions that are asked in the personal interview. If you prepare for the same by understanding the question and by writing also by discussing it with your friends you would become confident.
