How I Cracked The Preliminary Selection Board of Coast Guard? 

As told by Cadet Vinesh

PSB at Coast Guard is slightly tougher than that of SSB Screening

The reason being
a) The tests are timed and shown on the screen via a LCD Projector
This makes us to perform with more speed. ( unlike ssb where they give a booklet)

b) We are called for the PPDT only after we clear the Verbal and Non-verbal int test ( This is not so in SSB)
c) At PSB- No place to stay  we have to stay on our own.

d) No TA/ DA is paid to Civilians except of SC and ST.

e) Selection is about 10 % only as and when compared to SSB where it goes upto 30 -60%

Two of us appeared and both cleared out PSB and are now waiting for FSB.
