Generally the Group testing officer divides the candidates into three major groups according to their performance:-

Performers
Followers
Observers

It would be evident from the division it self as to where the aspirants should be.

An observer does not take active part in the given task, he is happy to be led around. He would stand staring at others, and wondering what they are doing and saying. They never initiate in other words they are back benchers.

Followers: These are willing workers, they offer a little or no ideas, they look for some one to tell them what to do. They often talk in whispers and are not heard much. Others tend to ignore their ideas.

Performers: In a group one or two persons emerge as performers, they often take initiative and start the task. They plan quickly and start making others move. These persons make others to move a head and give
directions as what to do and how to go about.

Until and unless a candidate demonstrates to the GTO and the group that he is a performer, he hardly gets a chance to be Recommended.

Bold action
Initiative
Quick decision making
Co-operation
Planning and Organising will lead you to success and secure a reasonably  high marks.
All the best
